Here are a few photos of Cupids and the surrounding area. It was one of my favourite places to take Mukti, my Black Labrador Retriever, for a hike on a warm summer's day. Mukti died in December 2005.
Cupids itself was the first official English settlement and farm colony in Newfoundland, it is also the place of the the first recorded Anglo-Saxon birth in the new world. It also boasted having the largest Union Jack in the British Empire. That flag is now in the museum, and an even larger one flies on special holidays in this old and small community.
