Topsail Road

This aquarium ( now dismantled ) was in the showroom of The Royal Garage, Dodge City, on Topsail Road for many years.

It was an interesting tank, being one of the oldest still in use in the St John's area. It had an aluminium frame that held the glass in place and a homemade light fixture above the tank. The challenge was to make the inside so interesting that you did not notice the exterior of the tank. I think I was able ( for the most part ) to accomplish this feat. This tank housed two large kissing gouramis ( over 8 inches long each ), Giant danios, White Cloud Mountain Minnows, Guppies, Swordtails, Black Mollies, Corydoras Catfish, Clown Loaches, and a whole host of live plants.

Although this tank is unsuitable to have in the newly renovated display room, I have suggested that a newer, larger and more modern aquarium be installed that matches the present decor.
